The EAI welcomes new members that can fully engage in and add value to its networking activities by actively contributing to the innovation initiative. Please visit the members benefits section to learn more about what EAI can bring to your organisation.

Membership of the respective institution does not carry any legal or financial obligation but is a sole expression of interest to be a rightful member of the European Alliance for Innovation. Withdrawal of membership is possible at any time by notification to the Secretariat of the European Alliance for Innovation.

Since January 2010, The EAI is established as a non-profit membership association under Belgian law.

EAI offers 2 types of membership for organisations, 1 type of partnership for businesses and 1 type of membership for individuals which at the moment can only be requested by joining a Science for Innovation, Business and Technology Council (SIB):

  • Individual membership
  • Institutional Membership
  • Affiliated Institutional Membership
  • Corporate Partner Membership

By joining the EAI members have the opportunity to:

  • LEVERAGE European Policy through a network of key stakeholders
  • NETWORK with a broad community of innovation experts and leading professionals

Individual membership

Who can join:

  • Individual professionals interested in ICT and innovation related fields

Key Benefits:

  • Access to all free services provided by EAI to individual members;
  • Access to discounts and membership programmes
  • Access to Science for Innovation, Business and Technology Councils (SIBs) in areas of interest.
  • Make your voice heard in building European innovation through the EAI grassroots community.

Membership fees:

  • Free (for 2010)

Institutional Membership:

Who can join:

  • European cross-disciplinary organisations (including the major stakeholders of the Innovation Cycle) consisting of bodies from the areas of Science and Research,
  • ICT related Associations, Education, Standardisation and Certification bodies
  • Interest Groups
  • Governmental Institutions.

Key Benefits:

  • Representation of the Member Organisation on the EAI Senate.
  • Voting rights within the EAI Senate on all institutional matters concerning the EAI strategy.
  • Free access to members community to EAI network

Membership duration:

  • Based on calendar year.

Membership fees:

  • Free for 2010.

Affiliated Institutional Membership:

Who can join:

Open to European institutions (European Commission, EIT, etc.) and other national and sister societies designed to promote additional cooperation in a specific discipline through joint activities. The cooperation is conceived to assist in the development and elevation of technical skills, image, professional growth, and networking, with partners that, due to legal status, are unable to actively participate in EAI activities.

Key Benefits:

  • Representation of the Member Organisation on the EAI Forum as advisor to the EAI Members Assembly.
  • Free access to member communities to EAI’s network

Membership duration:

  • Based on a calendar year.

Membership fees:

  • Free for 2010.

Who can join:

  • Companies, industries and investors who wish to contribute by sponsoring the EAI and its activities.
