Organised by the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and CREATE-NET Research Centre, the three-day European Forum for Innovation (EFI) 2010 ended successfully in Trento (Italy) by securing a very busy agenda for the upcoming months. “The initiative was a success. We definitely outdid our expectations,” said Alessandro Zorer, CREATE-NET Vice-President. “I believe we need to re-start from here with a clear message in mind ― we can fight, and eventually win, the global crisis only if we are willing to invest in research and innovation.”

Economic crisis: EFI 2010 identifies lines of action to support Innovation
Research and industry must understand what society needs in order to provide goods and services that satisfy users. This is one of the basic requirements as discussed at the roundtable which ended the first day of the European Forum for Innovation (EFI) 2010, moderated by renowned journalist Emil Abirascid. The Forum organised by the European Alliance for Innovation and CREATE-NET Research Centre is aimed at building bridges between government, industry and research. “Innovation creates new jobs and translates into goods and services that can trigger a renewed business cycle,” said Abirascid.

EUROPEAN FORUM FOR INNOVATION: kicked-off today at the Autonomous Province of Trento (Italy) the international symposium organised by the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and CREATE-NET.
“DIALOGUE BETWEEN INDUSTRY AND RESEARCH IS ESSENTIAL”
Public administration, industry, academia and research should unite to address the innovation challenges that Europe and Italy in particular are facing. This is the message resulting from the European Forum for Innovation (EFI) 2010, which started today at the Autonomous Province of Trento (Italy) and will last until Friday, June 25, 2010. The symposium, organised by the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and CREATE-NET, brought to Trento international key players in ICT. The Forum was opened by the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Lorenzo Dellai: “We will be able to overcome the global economic crisis more effectively if we invest in innovation.”
