What is the Strategic Forum?

The strategic forum is the main advocacy body of EAI. It provides guidelines on European strategy, goals and policies and represents the EAI community movement.

Who can be member of the Strategic Forum?

The Strategic Forum creates an environment where organisations have the opportunity to form a collective shifting from the implementation of its own programme in isolation to interacting and coordinating with peer organisations which compliment their mission. Member organisations in Strategic Forum shall conceive shared goals and strategy, in order to have a substantially legitimate and credible voice on innovation policy agendas in the global European and world stage.
The Strategic Forum is formed by institutions, universities, public bodies, private institutions, research centers and societies that share the same belief on the importance of promoting Innovation in its different means. For the full list of members please click here.

How does the Strategic Forum work?

In an open and democratic governance process, Strategic Forum member organisations will define and maintain the EAI Strategic Innovation Agenda (SIA), namely a collective document outlining a long-term shared vision (by the member organisations) in terms of ICT-driven innovation in Europe. Furthermore, the SIA will define an innovation roadmap encompassing the multi- dimensional issues, policies and developments positively and negatively impacting European innovation.
The Strategic Forum ensures continuous engagement of member organisations by actively involving them in initiating and shaping the Community activities. This is accomplished by direct input to the strategtic forum working groups which are defined by the segments of the innovation cycle.
